My child enjoyed every day of the camp and would do it again. He learned important skills that were reinforced and he obtained critical feedback.
What made the camp different to me was the access Henry had to experienced, enthusiastic and motivating coaches. Henry loved meeting other boys and girls just as passionate about footy as he is. The clinic was well designed and covered all skill areas for all abilities – thank you!
I loved the assessment form and coaching book. Mitch thoroughly enjoyed the camp. The hands on mentoring and positive coaching were excellent as was the written assessment at the end. It’s given him the motivation to work even harder towards developing his footy skills further.
The Groundwork Coaching camp was well organised, had great communication, and a professional standard focusing on football skills and drills. It was encouraging to ALL participants. Amazing individual feedback provided. That was over and above! The Winning Edge resource that includes drills and skills was fantastic. There was a positive and encouraging energy – but not without a focus on upskilling for the game itself.
The Groundwork Coaching holiday program was a productive and fun experience for my kids. In most local club environments, our kids are only training a few hours a week, which isn’t enough time for coaches to target each individuals’ needs for improvement. GWC helped us to gain a stronger understanding of the skill level of my kids and provided useful tools that have enabled us to specifically target the areas of their game that needs improvement the most.
What did I like most about the GWC Holiday program? Experienced coaches, well organised 3 days, personal feedback to the kids about their skills / deficits and the fun footy games / skills that my son Isaac played.
My son came home every afternoon from the camp full of energy and stories of his day. He can’t wait to do it again. The boys were given an informative report and book on skills for them to work on their strengths and weaknesses. We will be recommending it to our friends and teammates too. We felt it was a very well run event for the kids. We live next to the park, so we kept an eye out for Billy through the day and every time we looked, he was engaged and having a wonderful time with his mates, new and old. Groundwork Coaching is a premium AFL coaching camp. It is professionally run with great coaches who are PE/School teachers who play AFL.
Thanks for offering such a fantastic coaching clinic. All of the boys are absolutely exhausted, but they have nothing but great feedback after attending the 3 days.
Freya and Braxton really enjoyed the three day camp. This is Freya’s first year playing AFL and she gained a lot of information from the coaching. Braxton plays club rugby, but this camp has given him some insight into AFL and he is already talking about playing for his school’s AFL team. It was well organised and great to see kids running around outdoors. The end of training match was also a great idea, Freya loved it as she had never played against boys before. Once again- a great camp that you all should be extremely proud of facilitating. Please continue to run some more!
Archie loved the program and I will be registering my two other sons next year. The structured format and quality and experience of the coaches was very impressive.
Our son has absolutely loved it! He has learnt and absorbed so much. He cannot wait to implement this newfound knowledge immediately into his game. Just that alone is a big win for us, but add to the fact that the child you could never wear out, has been exhausted by the end each day which is an absolute bonus! Great job, and will be looking forward to the next program.

Thankyou Groundwork Coaching for a fun and very worthwhile coaching and training opportunity for Oliver. He loves his football and is now super keen to improve his game even more. Your program was extremely well organised and the students were given appropriate AFL skill progression activities along with specific feedback and were encouraged to improve their understanding of game awareness strategies. Your program is unique as it provided students with skill based activities relevant to their age and development. All the groups were engaged and my child was able to identify what feedback the coaches had given him to improve on in his game. I would highly recommend this program to junior players who are developing their AFL skill set and who enjoy being challenged. Our son thoroughly enjoyed his 3 Day Holiday Program with Groundwork Coaching. The full day program gave a unique opportunity to be able to dedicate a significant amount of time to develop his skills. He particularly liked the structure of the program and how Glenn and the team took time to unpack each individual skill i.e corralling, kicking, awareness etc. There was time to learn, refine and practice the skill with guidance. He will definitely be back to do again.

The Groundwork Coaching Holiday Program is amazing. It is a very well-structured program that covers a variety of content from the fundamentals of skill work to game sense drills, whilst all provided in a fun environment that the kids thrived in. Since the program, I have noticed a huge difference with my boys who attended. Their skill level is improving and you can see in games that they are trying to apply what they were taught at the program. The feedback and next steps that GWC provided was exceptional, and the boys now want to do the drills they were taught at the program, replacing the ‘old kick to kick’ at home that we used to do. This has made our time together more enjoyable and lots of fun.
